When you call them Koi, it sounds so fancy. If you were to refer to them as ornamental carp – it just looses all glamor. So we will stick with Koi. In schools, pairs, or alone they are looked upon as a object of beauty. From the yellows, whites, blacks, and oranges the colors mix and meld to unique works of natural art. Here are some of our takes on Koi for your viewing pleasure.
More koi can be found in our EBSQ art galleries by searching “koi“. More from our featured artists can be found in their portfolios: Muriel Areno, Naquaiya, and Jasmine Becket-Griffith.

Technology – a wonderful thing. With the invention of microchips, circuit boards, and digital data – artistry took a high-tech step to a new realm. It opened creative doors with another way to express ones artistic nature. Who knows what will be the next outlet for our creativity – anyone care to guess?

Arizona is my native home, and I am very drawn to the colors and landscapes.
Through vibrant sunrises and sunsets, to the beautiful cacti in bloom and mystic red- rock mountains – I never seem to run out of subjects to paint.
The artists journey is a lifetime of learning, and that is what drives me to continue to paint.

To me, Digital Art is the wave of the future, much as Photography was the wave of the future in the 20th century.
Although I have had a long interest in the arts, I came to the digital world later in life when I discovered a graphics program in my computer!
Digital art is a challenge to manipulate the technologies to do what you want them to do, but that is what makes it my passion.
You can learn more about Carolyn Schiffhouer and her art on her EBSQ bio.

I see how important both cyclical changes and structure are in my life.
I interpret these motifs in my work through imagery that is based on the patterned composition of what seems to be disarray.
Chaos theory has been a large part of my work from the beginning.

As children they amaze and bewilder us. Then school tells us how and why they happen. As adults they still bring a sense of awe and wonder. Take a moment and think back to the last time you saw a rainbow, click your heels three times and say “R-O-Y-G-B-I-V”.
Please take a moment to peruse our featured members art portfolios: Aja, Lynne Neuman, and Melia Dawn Newman. EBSQ artists also have more available for sale on Artfire, Ebay, Etsy, Redbubble, and Zazzle. EBSQ also has 20 pages of rainbow themed art in its galleries.
