Take the 12 in ’12 Challenge

One of the biggest benefits of EBSQ Membership (at least according to our members) is our monthly exhibits. They’re great for extra exposure, stretching your creative muscles, and on many occasions, winning stuff (which is always nice!)  This year, we have 37 opportunities to compete with your art. Because January is a month of resolutions, we’re challenging you to commit to participating in 12 exhibits in 2012.

To be part of our 12 in ’12,  we ask that you sign your name in the comments below and let us know which 12 shows you want to commit to in 2012. (I’ll be doing the same, because frankly, I need to get off my butt and make more art. )

  1. What a great idea! I really like having something to work towards and this will also help me with my daily blogging.

Here are the 12 Shows I will commit to (+ 2 “maybe” ones if I can make something I’m happy enough with):

    January: Black and White Animals
February: Llamas (+ maybe Art of the Tarot)
    March: Lions and Lambs
April: Marsupials and Other Australian Oddities
    May: Squirrels
    June: Summer
    July: Wildflowers
    August: Cats and Dogs
    September: Autumn
    October: Owls
November: Tortoises and Hares (+ maybe Norse Mythology)
    December: Holiday Pets

  2. Right now, my plan is all 12 FOTM exhibits, plus probably Squirrels, Llamas, and the Portrait Photography exhibit. And I’m vowing here and now that at least a few of them won’t be photography. My fingers are itching to paint!

  3. I plan to enter 24 or more! I usually enter 2 or 3 a month. I love the exhibits. They often challenge me to try something different. 🙂

  4. I’m the same…it would be a rare month that goes by that I don’t enter at least one. I can’t commit to certain ones because what I want to work on, for which show, might change from month to month. This is good though to encourage people that don’t enter very often, or that are new here.

  5. I’m going to give this a shot, but no promises!

    January: Black & White Animals
    February: Art of Tarot
    March: Spring
    April: Pen and Marker
    May: Squirrels
    June: Butterflies & Moths
    July: Pointillism
    August: FOTM: Prairie Plants
    September: Wild Birds
    October: Owls
    November: Norse Mythology
December: 11th Annual Better Late Than Never Show

  6. Amie, I would love to see you painting again!

  8. I have been off of EBSQ for quite some time since when they changed over I just was unable to get my pieces listed. I am going to prod my computer guy…son….to try to get over here and show me the path to listing stuff…So if I get some help from him I will enter new things in the shows. They are always a lot of fun to work on. Don’t know exactly what I will chose to enter but I will give this a try.

  9. There is also the EBSQ team on ETSY that should be included in the sites that are great for some exposure….ART really needs a push over on that site and for memebers of EBSQ they just have to sign up and have a coupld of pages of their work on their. I have seen some large canvases sell on ETSY so it can be a good site for everyone.
